The space where breakthroughs happen
You arrive with a topic. That is all that is required.
No preparation. No homework. No right answer to bring. The session belongs entirely to you — your agenda, your pace, your thinking. The coach brings nothing except full attention and no opinion about where you should go.
What gets named at the start
Before the work begins, the space is declared. Confidential. Non-judgemental. AI handles the notes so neither person needs to write anything down. Both people are free to be fully present because the infrastructure around the session handles everything else.
After every session, you receive the Undistorted Compass: a structured, cumulative summary that holds the thread between conversations. You do not need to remember what shifted. It is already held.
Why you speak 80% of the time
This is not a convention. It is a neurological principle.
The brain generates insight through its own processing, not through receiving input. When the environment is genuinely safe — no evaluation, no agenda, no performance required — the threat response quiets. When the threat response quiets, the prefrontal cortex has full access to its capacity. The thinking that was always available becomes reachable.
Arnsten’s research on stress and cognitive function demonstrated this clearly: even moderate threat activation compromises the higher-order thinking that your role demands. Arnsten, A.F.T. (1998). The biology of being frazzled. Science, 280(5370), 1711–1712. https://doi.org/10.1126/science.280.5370.1711
This is why clients consistently go further than they expected. Not because they were pushed. Because the conditions allowed it.
The quality of the questions
The questions are not advisory. They do not suggest a direction. They are designed to disrupt existing thinking patterns — to take you somewhere your own thinking has not yet reached.
If you answer immediately, the question was not disruptive enough. The coach goes deeper.
What shifts in that space: a word you used that carries more weight than you realised. A connection between two things you had never put together. A realisation that what you thought was the problem is not the problem at all.
Between sessions
The most profound work often happens in the gaps. The brain continues processing after the session ends. Insights surface in the days that follow — in the middle of a meeting, on a walk, at a moment when you are not trying.
The Undistorted Compass is there when they surface.
What becomes possible
Every brain is different. Every process is different.
What clients often find: they articulate things they have never said out loud before. They locate the real question underneath the presenting one. They leave with a clarity they did not arrive with — not because the coach gave it to them, but because the space made it possible to find it themselves.
What the space offers is consistent: full attention, no agenda, and the conditions under which your own thinking can go as far as it is capable of going.
